2019 Greenleaf Blossoms (Kids & YA) Writing Competition
For the First Chapter of an Unpublished Children’s or YA Novel

There are three categories for the competition:
Chapter Book/Junior Fiction
Middle Grade
Young Adult
Prizes for each category:
1st Prize = $20 + One page assessment/feedback on the first chapter by award-winning author, Aleesah Darlison
Plus 3 Highly Commended Certificates
HC recipients will receive short feedback comments. All Prize and HC recipient names will be published on the Greenleaf Press website: www.greenleafpress.net and Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/GreenleafPress
Format your story with a title page that includes the story title, category (Chapter Book/Junior Fiction, Middle Grade or Young Adult), your name, address, email and mobile number as well as a word count.
Headers on each page should include your story title, your name and your email address.
Please number all pages.
Text should be in Times New Roman 12 pt font double spaced.
Limit: First chapter only, up to 1500 words.
You can save and submit your story as a Word Document or PDF.
