Cate Whittle, Author
Cate Whittle writes for children and young adults, and loves to explore fantasy worlds, especially if there be dragons! Many of Cate’s stories (and a handful of articles – mostly about amazing things in history) have found their way into anthologies and magazines, and she has a junior fiction series about a troublesome dragon published by Omnibus Scholastic. Her middle grade fantasy, Wyrd, about an accidental witch, was also brought out by Omnibus in 2018. Next up is Emergency Rescue Angel, another middle grade/young YA title.
Also a teacher, Cate has a passion for nurturing a love of stories in her students – as readers and creators – and she has delivered workshops for grown-ups, too. Cate is active in the Kid Lit community and loves the opportunity to share her experience with others. She lives with her family, a cat, and lots of wildlife in the bush near Canberra where she enjoys walking amongst the trees and dreaming up fantastical stories.
